Jason Kendall jacked one out of the ballyard and had 2 RBI at Minute Maid
Field as the Chicago Rastafarians beat the Tombstone Huckleberries by the
count of 6 to 0.
Chicago jumped on top to stay in the bottom of the 2nd inning plating an
isolated run on 2 hits. After two outs Ken Griffey Jr drew a walk. Kendall
stepped into the batter's box and he stroked a base-hit. Alex Cora then
doubled scoring the run. The early run support proved sufficient for Andy
Pettitte(4-0) and Chicago. That was all the run support Pettitte required.
For the game Chicago out-hit Tombstone 11 to 7.
Jesse Crain earned his 2nd save. Derek Lowe(3-2) ended up with the loss.
Chicago continued their winnings ways improving their record to a division
leading 19-9. They are 8-2 in their last ten games. Tombstone has a record
of 13-15 after the loss.
